I have little experience and skills in this topic, there are articles on the Internet, but they are either for php5 or without configuration. Need practical advice, or links, etc. etc.

Don't clog the system. Do it with docker

I installed Xampp, it's similar to lamp, but the unpacking archive is a good option. all in one folder, and yet the modules are available globally via the command line.
I tried to install through the docker, a lot of trouble.
