Are there any dictionaries that translate the selected text by pressing hotkeys?

For example, I read text in pdf, I don’t want to switch between the pdf reader and the browser line by line. It would be convenient to get a translation by pressing hotkeys.
The Linux platform, but for Mac and Windows, such programs are also interesting.

I used the Google Translate Client program for a long time under Windows.
Now, as I understand it, part of the functionality has been transferred to the paid version.
The software itself is convenient. I was also pleased with the opportunity to immediately read about the selected word on Wikipedia.
