Are there any analogues to the book: John Erickson - Hacking: The Art of the Exploit?

I know the question sounds a little strange. Have any gentlemen seen anything similar (or at least approximately similar) to the creation of John Erickson . After all, the last edition of the book was in 2009, and information security is a topic that is constantly in motion:

For example, Oracle recently announced that it was intended to suspend the development of a plug-in for implementing Java applets in browsers.

I haven't read the book itself yet. Your opinion is very interesting. I will be glad to any links, including English ones (to be honest, I don’t hope to see something like that in Russian)
