Are there alternative YouTube players besides myTube and minitube?
Hello! I'm looking for some alternative player for YouTube. YouTube itself loads my old laptop very heavily. I've already tried a bunch of different options. MyTube or minitube is most suitable now. myTube has everything you need. But there are several problems. The quality does not change and the chat does not work for live broadcasts. It downloads the video to your hard drive and then plays it back. And this second minus confuses the most. If you constantly watch vidos, then this will not harm the already old hdd?
minitube has a very minimalist design. But no comments, does not play live broadcasts at all, no 60fps. But the most important minus for me is that it changes the colors of the video quite a lot and the quality is worse than on YouTube itself. It immediately caught my eye and now I can't help but notice it. And myTube plays the video in the same quality and in the same colors as YouTube itself. Although, maybe I cling too much to minitube and it does not degrade the quality so much.
If myTube used RAM to temporarily download and store videos instead of a hard drive, that would be ideal, but no.
myTube! and minitube load percent on average by 15-20 percent, and sometimes even less.
I also tried FreeTube, but it loads the percentage as much as YouTube itself. So I don't see any point in using it at all. Awesome Tube has a lot of ads, SMPlayer is not convenient and distorts colors a lot, Motionbox also heavily loads the processor. And copying and pasting a link to each video, for example, in VLC is not at all convenient, you need a search.
