Are there alternative ways to crack the archive password?

I create a backup copy of data in Acronis True Image, it has AES encryption and a password to the archive.
Why does an ordinary user need encryption, if by setting a password that is long, say 20 characters, it cannot be cracked?
Or am I confusing something and can actually be tricked and force the archive to open without asking for a password? For example, a similar option is described here: https://forum.antichat.ru/threads/101785/#post-1161017.

The link describes the old Akronis, it does not apply to the current ones. The only potential hole may be in the key generation algorithm from the password, but I think that they are hacks and screwed PBKDF, then only brute force will help you.

Yes, if encryption were not used there, there would definitely be a way to bypass password protection and read the archive without asking for a password. Therefore, encryption is necessary.
