Are preprocessors needed?

Hello!
Please tell me what is the beauty of preprocessors and is it possible to do without them?
Here I use jade only in order to be able to include another (include) in one html file
And can I implement the same include on the client without jade?
It’s much more convenient for me to typeset on html / css vs emmet, that’s why I ask
Thank you

The beauty of saving time. And what and how to use is already a matter of taste.
The modularity of the project is very convenient.
I tried jade, not tasty, perhaps because I didn’t use it much and didn’t have time to get used to it, I prefer emmet.

Tell me someone with the inclusions!
Here I have a menu in a separate html file, can I connect it inside another html?

Well, kakbe jade is not a preprocessor, but a template engine. Of course, if you are designing business cards and landing pages, there is no difference, but in general, pages usually contain dynamic data.
