Are HP Envy 15-j013sr and ASUS N56VB laptops compatible with Linux?

Good day! I'm thinking of buying HP Envy 15-j013sr or ASUS N56VB . Tell me, please, who knows how linux (for example, Ubuntu) will get on them, and whether there are any difficulties with installing an SSD.

Go to the store with a flash drive, boot ubuntu from it and check. So more reliable.

My friend, I advise you to buy plextor px-256m5m. Although it is expensive, it is probably the fastest among SSDs for mSata at the moment.
It will be easily installed in your mSata port, just one screw will need to be unscrewed and besides, one screw will need to be tightened inside, which is very difficult to find, so be prepared to look for a small screw on m2.5x3, by the way, the wifi of the scarf is attached exactly the same , and I took out this screw from the old laptop.
There will be problems with installing another OS on it.
I struggled for a whole week to bet a seven on him.
At first I wanted to transfer the disgusting eight from hdd to ssd, it didn’t work out for me, because the program that I downloaded didn’t work well and in the middle of the transfer I decided to restart the computer (although I shouldn’t have done this) and the laptop stopped turning on after that (only UEFI was switched on - which now they put it in the laptop instead of the BIOS, and the eight itself did not boot, said that it was necessary to roll it back, but no matter how I tried, nothing happened). After that, I tried to roll back UEFI itself and nothing happened either. I almost despaired, I wrote on the forums, I did not receive clear answers. Then I decided that it was better to bet a seven on him, which I also did not succeed. Because on the hard drive selection tab, he wrote me some nonsense about drivers. Quite by chance, in UEFI I noticed an item about USB 3.0, there was a choice (ON / AUTO) and only after how I switched it to AUTO mode, seven from a bootable USB flash drive (since there is no drive in the laptop) gave me a normal choice of hard drives, there I had to open the console and start changing the SSD and HDDs to a different MBR standard, you can find instructions for this on the internet, although I heard that the seven does it herself. After that, I launched the installation and everything went like clockwork, there were only minor problems with firewood, for the video card, which I had to download from the NVIDIA off site and with the BLUETOOTH driver, which I still have not adjusted.
PS Before installing seven / Linux on a laptop, put a new SSD in the port and give it a volume name and a letter, instructions can also be found on the Internet. That's it. For questions, write to me at vk.com/logachevroman . bai
