Modern analog computers: is there a future?

In short, they are of no use due to low accuracy, non-universality and exponential growth in complexity and cost when trying to achieve these indicators (high accuracy and at least some universality)

It depends on what is considered an analog computer. For example, power feedback responds in nanoseconds and always with a given accuracy, but the controller may freeze or go into interruption

And how to store an analog signal, how to achieve high accuracy of calculations.
100 years ago, analog computers were faster, and the price was commensurate with digital ones. elementary base was practically the same. Now everything has changed, to make VLSI in which 100,000 SAME!! differential amplifiers is not physically possible. The accuracy of your calculations will be no higher than 5%, and the price of such garbage will be ten times higher than the CPU of the same performance

The most powerful analog and unsurpassed computer in its architecture, properties, characteristics and parameters is the human brain, which was invented by the otherworldly mind and it is constantly evolving. The problem is that overclocking it from the point of view of computational functions is subject to gifted people who understand on the subconscious how to control it. But the future still belongs to such technology, unless, of course, humanity exchanges fire with each other for food, water and survival.
Digital computers are not even his pathetic parody, but only the result of converting a physical signal into a digital form. There are countless ways to turn an analog signal into a digital one. The first computers were generally mechanical or hydraulic.
