Application of Git in educational institutions?
Good day!
I work at a fairly large university where a certain number of departments train IT specialists and conduct development, and I would like to try to introduce Git (in particular Gitlab) into the educational process. And just to try to gather people involved in development within the university. In general, the goals are good.
And the question is the following - are there any examples of the actual implementation of version control systems or project management systems in the educational process of real institutions, schools?

I have a teacher friend who accepts homework through git without any introduction.
Not a university, but a scientific institute.
There is an internal SVN server that is used by employees of several laboratories for various purposes, including storing project sources, generating articles, reports, and other materials.
“Implementation” could be said to be spontaneous, I made a service for myself in agreement with the head of the lab, and then it turned out that such a service was in demand.
GitHub gives free private repositories for educational institutions:
github.com/edu
In terms of collaboration, IMHO, it's cooler than bitbucket.
And here's another interesting option:
gitlab.org/ Code
hosting + web collaboration, all on your own server.
