Apple Mail keeps asking for a password for a mailbox?
The problem is the following: Apple Mail constantly asks for a password for mailboxes when checking email. Moreover, the problem occurs only with mailboxes hosted by a hosting provider (there are no problems with Gmail and Mail.ru). Tried to click "Remember this password in the keychain", and enter the key manually, and a few more solutions found in Google - the result is zero. Has anyone encountered this problem and how is it solved? Thank you.

Check - perhaps pr gives a message about the wrong password and therefore the client has to ask you again.
for mail.app, such a panic is quite normal (although it also reacts to mail.ru in many ways), as far as I know, no one has yet been able to cure it, it just happens by itself after what time it passes and checks the sweat is already normal and so on in a circle .
I myself always had such troubles with a box on mail.ru, then I set up forwarding to gmail, there are no problems with it
Check the "Remember password" box and find this entry in the Keychain Access. Make sure you have permission to always provide this Mail.app entry in your settings.
Close Mail.app and run in the console (previously replacing your.mail.host with the host of your mailer):
for tcsh
/Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail -LogActivitiyOnHost your.mail.host -LogIMAPErrors YES >& ~/Desktop/MailLog.txt
for bash
/Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail -LogActivitiyOnHost your.mail.host -LogIMAPErrors YES &> ~/Desktop/MailLog.txt
Then check your mail.
