Apple iMac: which one to get? 5Q 2017 or 2019?
Hello. I'm thinking of switching to an iMac. Now I use Air 2018 and I understand that I can’t perceive a laptop as a full-fledged working tool (considering that Air is just a calculator or a tablet with a keyboard). And mobility, as it turned out in fact, is not particularly critical for me. In general, one way or another I plan to take an iMac, but now there is a dilemma - which one to choose? There is a choice between:
1) iMac 5K 2017 - basic (but immediately buy additional RAM for it), it costs 130k
2) iMac 5K 2019 - basic, more than 150k and the RAM will have to wait
The question is, is the overpayment for the updated version worth your money, or is 2017 more than enough? I do not plan to do super-heavy tasks - mostly work in Photoshop, Illustrator and plans to start working with video, but hardly on an industrial scale.
Looked at reviews and tests. In numbers, of course, the new generation is tearing everyone up, but again, I don’t understand if it’s worth it ...
Thank you in advance!

Of course it's worth it.
Apple is famous for the fact that you pay exactly as much as the product costs and never releases new versions of technology “just like that”, always inserts some new chips.
If the difference is even 20 sput - then it is clearly worth it.
I still have the 2009 model, of course with additional RAM, everything is fine, but over time it took longer to load and I do not work with video.
So if you need to save money - you can safely take the previous model.
in addition to an explicit update of the specification (updating the memory, processor, hard disk components) with a subsequent increase in the performance of each of these components, there is also regular work on errors - therefore, new versions within the same line are also a correction of the problems of the previous ones (often I see that the characteristics are improving cooling/heating/power consumption) updating detected defects.
my preference is always to newer versions whenever possible.
