API Authentication with Laravel Passport, how and what?

Good day! I would like to ask how Laravel Passport and Authentication API works in general. I'm trying to connect to a Vue app.

If there are interesting posts and information on this topic, you can provide a link, otherwise I'm looking and can't find anything worthwhile.

Note: You need Laravel 7-8, not 5. In many courses, the 5th version is therefore difficult.
