Apache 2.4 only opens Default page?

Apache 2.4 on debian 8, virtual host added, when opened by domain name on localhost it opens without problems, when trying to open from external ip by domain name, apache default page opens, external ip is added to hosts, rights to the /var/www/ folder example.com is set to www-data, what could be the reason?

Solved like this: config /etc/apache2/sites-available/example.com.conf
first line VirtualHost *:80 ---> VirtualHost example.com:80
then clear the cache in the browser and OK
