Android phones chronically lose data connection?
There was LG Optimus, he suffered from a strange disease - he periodically lost mobile Internet. There is GSM, you can call, sms, but there is neither EDGE nor 3G. Even though it just happened. It helped only to pull out the battery “hot”, remove and insert the SIM card back. I sinned on the firmware - updating to 2.2 helped, but not for long.
Recently took SE Xperia Pro. At first everything was fine, a month later the same thing began. Updated from 2.3 to official 4.0 - helped for a week. Now the only thing that helps is a ride in an elevator or the subway (and, probably, to close it for a couple of minutes in a metal box).
Has anyone experienced this? Am I so unlucky with phones? Or problems in the SIM card? If the second, then why did the problems not start right away and updating the firmware for a while helps?

The problem must be sought either in the radio module or in the wireless provider. Your case is second.
And I would change my sim. Just for anyone to rule out. Before I die for good, she was mercilessly buggy.
The same situation with the SIM card MTS Ukraine. No problem with other sims.
My Google Nexus S (4.1) sometimes doesn't find gprs at all, reboot helps. Also MTS, though in Ukraine.
I have MTS - turn on data transfer and ... nothing! It is necessary to the flight mode, then return, then try again. If it doesn't work, wait 5 minutes and try again. It’s easier to find free Wifi around the street than to wait for the Internet from mts. I'm thinking of running away with a megaphone.
It’s different for me - HSDPA or 3G is always there, but the connection is twitching. The address changes, some services hang, some ask to go through a few steps again.
Well, it becomes problematic to play an online toy through a mobile modem.
SGS2 + velcom.by. It started from the moment of changing the tariff plan to a more expensive one.
