Android installing gapps without recovery?
I purchased a texet tm-1020 tablet. Android 4.0.3 installed. Everything suits, but there is no calendar synchronization out of the box (although the calendar application itself is available), I would also like to have contacts at hand.
I googled that the problem is solved by installing gapps, but CWM does not want to work - the volume buttons are set but the volume buttons do not work.
Is there a way to get the calendar sync to work and install the "contacts" app with sync?

You can open the archive with gapps and scatter all the files with the correct rights to the necessary folders with your hands (you need root).
Before that, it's better to try the easier option - put CWM Touch and flash through it.
I apologize for the stupid question - is there a Market? What if you go through it? It is easier.
If not, then, as mentioned above, you can install it manually:
Applications are files with the apk extension, system ones are in / system / app, user ones are in / data / app. Accordingly, we copy the desired file to a folder, with a file manager or using adb, and put permission on it to run there, through the same file manager or with the chmod command.
(If you look inside the gapps * .zip archive, you will just see the data folder and apk-shki in it. A small additional body kit is needed only for google maps)
I solved the problem in a slightly different way in the end :-)
1. I installed CalendGoo for the calendar, which has its own synchronization with Google
2. After installing the Go launcher, a working shortcut to contacts suddenly appeared on the desktop. That is, the application was in the system, but there was no icon.
