How to change the number of desktops in the default launcher?
There are 5 tables by default.
All the old editing tools that were removed in 3.2.
I want to set up the default launcher.

Try Trebuchet Launcher . This is the same ICS stock launcher, only with features. The CyanogenMod team is developing it, if I'm not mistaken.
Features:
Changeable number of home screens
Switchable search bar
Apps separated from widgets in the main menu
Ability to change the size of any widget
Scroll indicator on the home screen and in the application menu
Enable or disable auto -rotation
Sort applications in the main menu (date, size, etc.)

If I'm not mistaken, then in bare Android you can't change the number of tables. Install an alternative launcher.

I didn’t deal with a tablet, there are two options in Huawei phone, both with Home:
1. Back button, desktop icons open, you can delete and add
2. Prop button -> Desktop settings -> Advanced settings -> Number of windows

and if you press the home button twice quickly? it appears on my htc with desktops, where I can delete them or add a new one.
