Android 2016: C++/Qt or Java/SDK - what are the pros/cons of each and which is better to choose?
Good afternoon.
Let me start by saying that I am 17 years old. I am fond of Olympiad programming and mathematics, but I have no experience in industrial programming yet. In the summer (being an adult) I want to get an internship in some mobile application development company. I chose two main areas for myself: Java / SDK and C ++ / Qt. But the question arose in choosing one of them.
Ready to learn one thing, but still C++/Qt is a priority. And so I would like to know:
1) Are there any points that I will miss or gain by studying any one of these technologies?
2) Which one would be easier to start with in my start in industrial programming?

Depends on what you want and know better. But I think an important factor will be that there are much more vacancies in Java / SDK than C ++ / Qt (almost never met) for Android.
1) By choosing one, we miss the other. It is worth trying to write some kind of calculator on both technologies and see what you like best. In fact, to implement complex applications in Qt, you will have to write native code in Java / Objective-C, for example, fastening push notifications.
2) The threshold for entering QML is low, but creating the right architecture the first time will not work)
PS There are definitely more vacancies in Java / SDK. C++/Qt is more fun and cross-platform.
