Analysis of status logs?

Good afternoon! There is a model, this model has 4 fields that in a certain combination give the concept of the state of the model (status). When the status changes, a record about changing fields gets into the log, but each changed field is a separate entry in the logs. That is, for example, the status changes and a record about the change of field1 and field2 gets into the log. The task is to build a history of changes in object statuses. While two options come to mind, either group the changes by time and analyze what has changed, the second is to make another entry in the log where it will be specifically indicated what status was and what became. The first option does not seem very good to me, since it is easy to get confused if the status has changed in a short period of time. Share your ideas.
