An alternative to a deflated Google photo?
as Google recently announced, there will be no more freebies, where it is not clear where to store millions of photos now)
what are the alternatives? mail , yandex are not suitable, since my UA contingent does not have access to it, and VPN is very cumbersome

As I understand it, many Americans look at Amazon Photos. But they seem to have it included in the Prime subscription, so it’s more difficult for us.
If there are really a lot of photos, then you can consider buying a NAS. Now there are a lot of them, different and smart, and you can upload them remotely and share them.
Or buy hosting (in a couple of weeks there will be good discounts on Black Friday) and install something like Lychee, Piwigo and others. You will be your own boss.
IMHO a good option Flickr - used to be a limit of 1TB, now made for 1000 photos. Unlim costs only $60 per year
I use syncthing , and scatter it over a couple of computers in different places. Reid is not necessary to fence - profit.
