[Akado] Does the modem with EuroDOCSIS 2.0 support the EuroDOCSIS 3.0 standard?

I envision it as USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. If you plug 3.0 into the connector with 2.0, it will still work. Backwards compatibility and all that. Not?
In detail, the MOTOROLA SURFBOARD SB5101E modem has been standing for the past few years. It supports EuroDOCSIS 2.0 and more or less works.
Now I decided to change the tariff, but in those support they say that it "may not work correctly or not work at all" with my current modem and offer to buy a THOMSON TCW770 WI-FI ROUTER that supports EuroDOCSIS 3.0.
In theory, with a change in tariff, they should simply put a different figure, according to which the speed will be cut? There will be no more than the one supported by the modem, but everything will work, right?

Here's the point here. So you switched to a new high-speed tariff, for example, 50 parrots. And the current modem (boa constrictor) can absorb only 30 per second, if more, there will be indigestion, a parrot will stand across the throat, etc. And you will start to take out the brain to the supplier of parrots. Do they need it?!
They are trying to protect themselves and you.
By the way, I myself use Akado and so far 14 parrots are enough.
