AJAX and what is the difference between type GET and type POST? All the same, the URL does not change, but the data is sent via data?

Hello. I want to know if there is a difference when specifying type GET and type POST in AJAX. And if there is, then in what?
Anyway, the data to be sent is taken from data, not from the URL.

@sidni

the maximum size of transmitted data for a get is on average 8kb, and a post is calculated in megabytes on average 15. Well, aesthetics (the post has a more "beautiful" url)
