The fact is that the paths are different, as well as by the way the tables in the database. You need to get into the database, find a table with the admin menu there and just write the right path.
It's easy to solve, since I don't have a Joomla with Virtuemart at hand, I'm showing it on my fingers.:
You need to get a new URL from Virtuemart 3 somewhere and just enter it into the database. As an option, put on a quick Joomla + Wirth and copy the path from the address bar (it is static) and register it in the database
