Adding Work to WordPress Portfolio?

I decided to pull the layout of my portfolio on WordPress. Portfolio type one-liner. It has a "My Works" section, which has a slider with my work
. The slide looks like this:

How can I add slides to a slider using WP? I was told that this can be done using the post category and each slide is a separate post. But I can't find any info about it. Help me please

I would have decided a little easier ...
Install the ACF plugin (custom fields) + ACF Repeater (repeater). Display custom fields on some page. And display the repeater loop inside the slide.
So you can add slides through the admin panel. There are many different ways to solve this issue...
You can create a custom post type, add slides as thumbnails, and in the slider display the thumbnails themselves in a loop, and that's all.
