Adapter from DVI-D video card to VGA monitor?

GeForce GTX 1080 video card, it has a DVI-D connector, a VGA connector on the screen and a VGA-VGA cable coming from it.
Are there adapters from VGA to DVI-D (Dual Link, it seems), will this work fine?

If you really have a DVI-D output, then it is only a digital output (DVI-I is both digital and analog). Accordingly, by simply connecting the contacts with a cable, you will not get anything, because VGA is analog. Adapters - exist, but they are quite noticeably more expensive than the cable.

You need an active DVI-D to VGA adapter, the Chinese and our radio markets are full of them
