Depends on your level. If you are a complete beginner, I advise you - Head First. Programming for Android , here with pictures. Next, you can try Android tutorials .
Of the latest (relevant) books in Russian, I liked Android. Programming for professionals . But it needs a certain level.
Hello.
From the books I can advise the following:
1. P. Deitel, H. Deitel, A. Wald. Android for developers. 3rd edition(2016);
2. Brian Hardy, Bill Phillips, Chris Stewart, Christine Marsicano. Programming for Android. 2nd edition (2016).
But the books have one serious drawback - they are already outdated.
If you want to have complete information on the latest versions of Android, as well as innovations in the SDK, then the official documentation is our everything - https://developer.android.com/index.html
There is also a good resource with guides - https://guides.codepath. com/android
IMHO, in the field of mobile development, reading books, and even translated ones, is pointless.
While it was written and translated, but you bought it - everything is already outdated, already new APIs, the paradigm has changed, approaches have changed. This is especially true for android.
