About learning Java?
I'm 17 years old. I have some knowledge of php / mysql behind me. Now I'm learning Java at javarush.ru / downloaded a couple of books. A question for experienced java programmers, when did you get a job as a java trainee? And also, will PHP interfere with learning JAVA? I don't want to quit php because I like the language.

I have never taken a job as a Java intern.
I got a job as a C++ developer, and a month later a Java project came along, and we all became sort of Java interns. True, no one called us that.
> Also, will PHP get in the way of learning JAVA?
No, I started writing in PHP later than in Java - and nothing, one did not interfere with the other.
when did you get a job as a java intern?
You must be able to show at least 1 from this list to be taken seriously:
1) Decent knowledge of Computer Science. Databases, networks, algorithms, programming languages.
Here you can do without any experience.
2) Projects we have worked on.
Namely projects, not 100 lines of code copied from a tutorial. You can know 1 language and 1 database, but at a level sufficient to quickly retrain to other development tools on the spot.
3) Something from 1 and 2 at once. It may not be entirely.
