A quick way to authorize at the enterprise

We have a canteen in our organization. Previously, employees came and noted the ordered dishes in a special leaflet opposite their names. Now an application has matured that allows you to order food directly from the workplace. Also in the dining room there will be a tablet with which you can also order food directly in the dining room itself (for those who forgot to do this from the workplace or for some reason cannot do it). It is necessary to give employees a quick way to authorize on this tablet, because. entering a corporate login and password is not a quick task, especially on a tablet. In general, I do not want to accumulate a queue. What practices exist for this? For an employee to spend no more than 5 seconds on authorization, for example. Of course, there is an option to distribute something like pin codes, but I want something more beautiful and showy =). Any ideas?

Distribute passes with unique barcodes or qr codes to employees, and on a tablet, either attach an application that recognizes an employee’s code from a photo, or a usb scanner.

Will this application be accessed only from your local network or from the Internet? Do your employees trust each other? If the answer to both questions is “yes”, then the easiest option is to enter your first and last name or phone number or mail (without a password), if you want to get confused, give everyone cards with magnetic tapes and install a card reader. Another way is authorization through social networks (but then one will be available from outside). Also, if it is only available from the intranet, you can generate a hash link for everyone and authorize using it, and let the shortcut be in bookmarks or on the desktop. Also - you can determine by the IP of the computer from which they are accessing.

A mobile application that, by pressing a button, gives access to the panel specified in this application (and judging by your task, there is only one such panel). access is granted for a short period of time, that's all.

Hmm… dining room, ordering food. This requires an extremely complex and reliable interface. Make a DNA and retinal scanner. Have the user stick the needle first into their eye, then into their finger. Then he will attach a magnetic QR code, and then insert a special one-time USB token.
On the topic:
the first screen is 30 squares according to the number of letters (except b y b). the second screen is a list of surnames beginning with that letter. If there are many surnames per letter, then the screen with two letters. Further perhaps with three. The bottom line is that the final list should be without scrolling. Scrolls in kiosks are wildly annoying.
A password is not needed at all. Do you have employees that will overeat each other or what? :-)
The security system should be adequate to the protected object, and not create additional problems.
By the way, instead of a tablet, it’s better to take an electronic queue terminal. Something like this www.avtomatix.ru/catalog346.htm

Install a fingerprint scanner. Authorization time (for our systems) - 1 second (approximately, the exact value depends on the processor and the size of the fingerprint database).

How big is the organization? Is the entrance to the territory with contactless cards organized? If yes, screw the contactless card scanner to the tablet. From workplaces - login + password.
If there are no contactless cards - as mentioned above - printed and laminated barcodes or qr.
