I would like to make my beloved mother pleasant and give a new, convenient phone for her. Based on a conversation with a future user, the main requirements are:
1. Easy to use.
2. Touch screen.
3. Good camera (good photo quality, but I think after 0.3 MP, any photos will look good).
4 Skype.
5. Nice design, preferably lilac or purple body color (oh, those women).

At Android itself, but it seems that it will be difficult for mom. I may be wrong. Share your experience or just advise a good device :)

The budget, in principle, is any, although, I think, there is not much sense in a phone more expensive than 10,000.

Take lumia 900 if finances allow. Great phone with a great front camera. Works very quickly, does not buggy and does not tupit.
My dual-core on android was not even close to him in terms of speed and convenience. No flashing, hacks and other garbage.
The only thing that can scare away is the size (screen 4.3 inches). But everything is perfectly visible, large and legible fonts.

As the first touchscreen, I gave a very simple LG GS500, non-android, nothing complicated - round, thin, because I liked it - before ordering, I twisted a similar one myself and let it be touched (I took it from friends). About ~ 2700 rubles came out of Amazon, we have ~ 7000 rubles in retail. It was. The buttons on the screen are moderately large, the on-screen keyboard is moderately human, although the contacts are ugly, but you can live with them. There is no Skype on it, as well as the Internet, and it is not needed. And for all other parameters, everything is the same as yours. There is, or rather was (the model is outdated), a beautiful purple case.

My mother recently received a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 as a gift. I figured it out for quite a long time and still swears at it :) Although I'm sure that it would be with any touchscreen. She also doesn’t get along very well with the iPad, why did she just buy it ... I’m already a little tired of showing what to poke where.

Out of fright, I took Nokia 603 and 2 weeks after the gift, Nokia said that there would be no Donna, no Carla, and that they say Simba is all. And the scroll in the phone is sad, the phone itself managed to freeze three times to the point that you just need to take out the battery. Working with the sensor is just hellish. Now ashamed of the gift.
Wildfire is a brake. I do not recommend taking. Plus it's very small.

I dealt with a touch-Samsung without Andoid (I don’t know what is there ... Bada?) - such a thing, there are bad unresponsive screens.
I do not recommend phones like HTC Wildfire or Samsung Ace, after installing several programs, they start to slow down. I have Ace, sometimes to call you have to wait 5-10 seconds until the phone application loads, it infuriates.

They gave Samsung Wave 525 and therefore I do not advise you to take anything at all on the Bada platform, an extremely raw and unfinished axis. In addition to a bunch of bugs and general inconvenience to use, the biggest shock was the complete absence of the most elementary functions of the phone. There is no speed dial at all. You can, of course, add numbers to your favorites list, but this is a crutch. It is impossible to score a number on any number.

A similar situation, and I don’t know how to get out of it, in my case, a long battery life is added and the request becomes unfulfillable. The iPhone, in fact, looks like an ideal solution in such a situation, if not for iTunes. Androydophones, if the budget and ICS are not updated, the battery is at the seams, and all top models are competing “who is more”. I don't trust Nokia WP7. For a long time I felt android backgrounds in this price category, they are all terribly slow and difficult to understand.
When I took the lumia in my hands, I realized that this is it! A good camera, the simplest interface works quickly, without bugs. Mom is happy :)
