A little about karma formation and its history
I have been on Habré for a long time, I registered even before the introduction of the invite system. I have never particularly sought after karma, but due to my interest, I sometimes follow its changes.
Now I'm curious - how have the algorithms for calculating it changed over time? And why are these algorithms the way they are now?
I was prompted to this question by the fact that my karma has been holding the fractional part stably for a long time. There is a suspicion that earlier the fractional part of karma was charged for comments and / or posts.
Perhaps one of those who follow this question will tell or tell me where to read about the development of the karma system of habra? Or maybe someone will tell me why karma formation is the way it is now, what is dictated by the current algorithms.
I still cannot form an opinion as to how adequate the mechanism of karma is and for what purposes. Perhaps in social projects it makes sense to collect karma not directly through pluses and minuses, but somehow indirectly?

the fractional part of karma is due to the fact that earlier there was an unequal weight of votes for karma from different users

When you make an opinion, share it with the people here, or at least in a personal message, pliz. Personally, I find the system of karma completely inadequate, illogical and incomprehensible.
