This is essentially an alias for the domain itself.
Those. if we allow to create a zone mydomain.ru,
then the created record of type A where instead of the name is "@" will mean exactly the IP address of the host with the name mydomain.ru.
If there we replace "@" with "moscow" in the A record and break through the IP, it will mean that moscow.mydomain.ru will resolve to this IP.
