A detailed guide for installing and configuring Debian / Linux on an HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8?
Yes, I found a bunch of guides, but they are somehow empty and everything is described that is not clear.
An example is the same with all the guides.
Or here's another . Why do I need an Internet to install the OS from a USB flash drive? What is a POST check? What is Intelligent Provisioning? And so on... just more questions.
Who did the installation, tell me the guide / video where the process is analyzed in detail.
It doesn't matter if it's remote or direct from a flash drive.
Thank you.

Internet for installation from a flash drive is required if the netinst version of the distribution is used.
In general, if there are no problems with device drivers, the installation is trivial - mount the image / insert the flash drive, boot from there, then the standard installation dialog.
