"Clean architecture" is not about distributed fault-tolerant systems. But Kleppman's "Highly loaded applications" - to the very point, a very good textbook, sensible and intelligible.
About reliability, I can advise two chic primers:
Chris Clearfield and Andras Tilczyk - "Invulnerability"
Michael Neigard - "Release it!"
