Why do I need an iPhone?

Hello!
I am a long-time reader of Habry, and in light of the release of the new iOS 7, some doubts arose:
Do I need an iPhone?
I will say right away that these are not cries like “Apple is no longer a cake!”, “Jobs, stop spinning in your grave!” and so on. Just such a banal and simple question.
I have been using the fifth model since April (before that I used everything except 2G). I will say that I cannot be attributed to beginners - I used:
- Symbian (various, up to 9.2 / 3) and just a Nokia phone OS (5210,3200 etc)
- WinMobile (various - 5,6,6.5) (and I made my own firmware for myself)
- Windows Phone (7,7.5,8)
I didn’t use androyd - for some reason it has a role for me of the distant times of Windows Phone (or rather HTC P3300 Artemis, if anyone remembers) - mostly very pleasant memories - something doesn’t work for you, and then you sit all night and fix it , reconfigure. Very nice, but there is not so much time.
So, if you've read this far, thank you. Because I'm not asking you to immediately advise the model / OS. I have a candidate in mind - Nokia E66.
For me, there were two criteria when choosing a replacement:
- the presence of everything that I'm used to (office, Internet, minimum navigation (open a map, locate, calls, sms, WHATSAPP , etc.)
- longer (at times) battery life
I want to know your opinion - do I overestimate my strength? Will I be able to use a phone from the past? Or am I just stuck in "before the grass was greener and Nokia is better"?
And most importantly, did anyone have experience of such a "dinggrade"?

"Got down" on nokia n78, soon I will take a couple of e72. There was an iphone and androids, not mine, and even a palm treo was. I love buttons, Nokia lives for almost a week, plus, from experience, Tachev bought a second battery right away and I carry it with me, but I don’t need it at all. The browser, of course, is not so convenient, but the mobile Internet is also terrible for visiting sites. Mail goes, whatsapp works, skype, wi-fi, Yandex maps, e72 can still use sip out of the box (the main reason is n78 -> e72)

If you already have an iPhone, why change it? You somehow did not write what you do not like.
Personally, I also have 5 and iOS 7, and there is no desire to change it to something else (especially on Android).

Alternative? Case with external battery.

Not so dull junk Samsung GT-B5512 Galaxy Y Pro Duos . According to reviews , the battery lasts 4-5 days. If without QWERTY and more modern, then pay attention to Huawei Ascend Mate

I always recommend Nokia E72 . With active conversations + mail was enough for 3 days stably. The phone is perfect in every way. It lies perfectly in the hand. It is convenient to use mail. Strong (fell on the pavement a couple of times — only a couple of scratches left).
E66 is a good machine. Used them too. But the soul lies more at 72, I don’t know why. I'm currently using an iPhone.
On the subject of your question:
There are a couple of acquaintances who have downgraded. The first few months were breaking - there is no way to get info for "swipe and poke once." Uncomfortable surfing (rather even just longer).
Of the pluses, you devote more time to the world around you, you don’t stick to your phone all the time) The
battery lasts a long time, you don’t need to carry a charger in your pocket.
Don't be afraid to drop it. They are usually strong. And even if he broke, then nothing. Got it for repairs 500 r. - 2000 rubles, or for a new phone 5-8 thousand rubles.

Depending on the mode in which you use the phone, and most likely yes, poor reception quality greatly reduces battery life. I had my lumia 800 if in the clean phone + player mode on the way home / to work there were enough hours for 50-60, if edge, then 2-3 days. if you play or read - the most consuming, probably eran - several hours.
I had Androids, but also administering a phone, not counting huge domains at work, is beyond my strength and desire. iPhone - touched, but something he did not impress me

Unfortunately, a strong downgrade will not work - because the infrastructure will not allow it. (Maximum a couple of years down). Maybe you like dell venue pro ?

After the last upgrade of the 7th (7.0.2) axis, mine began to keep stable 28 hours of charging (always on Wi-Fi, 3G, brightness almost at maximum, all geolocation all inclusive, all day of active work - a couple of demanding games, such as natives, all day VK correspondence, WApp, Mail.ru agent, sometimes YouTube because at work, the proxy cuts traffic, navigation), where is the battery more then?

Hi all! Your opinion about this is very important.iPhone. I know that the topic is already beaten and worn out, but still. I'm just tired of Android with its beta versions of applications that constantly crash and don't really work. Until you find something good, you'll get bored. I just want to work with a high-quality operating system that will not be capricious. And ios, I'm not sorry, remains the prerogative of Apple. Is everything really that good? Or are there some points that the manufacturer is silent about? I understand that I am losing the amount of RAM, and there will be no additional memory, and the battery is not as powerful as it could be. But, it seems to me that the performance will pay for itself. By the way, I was surprised when I saw the use of bluetooth in the description. After all, it has never been used in iPhones. Or am I missing something? That's why I need your help, I can't figure it out.
