Permission lost after Ubuntu 16.04 update. How to return?

Hello everyone,
after a normal update to Ubuntu 16.04, the next boot lost resolution,
and does not give options for changing.

During the system update, they wrote in the terminal about disabling Secure Boot, but in some strange way through specifying a password, so I did not disable it through Linux and left it as it is. Perhaps the problem is related to this.

@zooks

After disabling the Secure Boot option in the BIOS (UEFI), everything worked with a normal resolution.
Apparently, this is a feature of the new Linux 4.4.0-72-generic kernel.
The article helped to disable the setting:

Check which drivers are installed. In synaptic, for example, in the advanced tab. It may be worth using the current proprietary one or vice versa
