Is it worth studying to be a blockchain developer?

Hello world!
I am currently in the 11th grade and have already decided that I will work in the IT field. But I haven't decided which direction yet.
I am interested in blockchain development. I passed the basic course on the Stepik, I see - it's interesting. But there are quite a few vacancies on hh.ru, and work experience is required almost everywhere.
So, should I study to become a blockchain developer (how, presumably, the situation on the labor market in this area will change in the next decade), where can I get experience and what should a blockchain developer know and be able to do (at least briefly)?

Blockchain is just one of many technologies used by developers.
A blockchain developer is like a left turn driver.

By understanding blockchain development, you will at least master

  • low-level compiled language like C Go Rust
  • structuring large code bases
  • basics of cryptography
  • Peer-to-Peer architecture
  • network protocols
  • embedded databases

These are useful skills.

There is no such profession as a "blockchain developer". There is a programmer working in the field of blockchain application development.
So you need to study as a developer.
Let's leave aside the question of the prospects and relevance of the "blockchain applications" themselves, since before the end of your studies, everything can change in the most dramatic way.

No lol.
Bitcoin is dead, and this buzzword is not used anywhere else.
