Is it illegal to remove ads from APK apps?

Hello.
Let's say I downloaded an application for android (apk), and there are a lot of ads. I got into the files of this application, removed the ads there and reinstalled.
Is this considered illegal?
Thank you.

If you bought it , then according to the laws of the Russian Federation you can upgrade it for personal use.
Anything else is illegal.
For example, it is illegal to modernize in the USA in any way (even purchased, unlike the Russian Federation).
It is even more illegal to distribute someone else's content without advertising.
In general, you need to look at the license, but, I believe, the authors do not allow cutting ads from the application.

If the application is distributed free of charge and the authors receive income from advertising, then you may be sued under Article 15 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation "Lost Profit".
It is better not to remove ads from the apk, but to use an ad cutter.

Can you make an effort to build your own house than to enclose someone else's? Write such an application yourself, without going into someone else's code, and post it without ads.

If you cut out banners in a certain application, there may be some claims, but if you remove all ads, for example, so what is illegal here? It's your device, use it however you want.
