ACF: json/php import?

Greetings. As far as I understand, the documentation says that you can import all existing filled fields into json or insert code into function.php in order to remove all ACF requests to the database.
Pasted the generated code into function.php - nothing happened. JSON I don't understand where to insert it at all.
Please tell me how it should work in general and how to implement this invaluable function.
